I moved from England to Kelowna in 2013, bringing with me a lifelong interest in technology and how things work. 

Not long after arriving, I began my professional repair career at 

Kelowna Cell Repair, working on cell phones and small electronics. 

What started as a job quickly turned into a passion for precision repairs, problem solving, and helping people get their devices back up and running without unnecessary stress or cost.

Over time, I grew into the lead technician role there and went on to become Manager of the store over the span of nearly 8 years. 

During that period, the store earned “Best of Kelowna Gold” six years in a row, an achievement I’m incredibly proud of. 

That recognition came from consistent quality work, honest pricing, and treating customers with respect.

Values I’ve always believed in and still stand by today.

Outside of work, I was always the person friends and family came to for help fixing game consoles and computers. 

Through that experience, I noticed a clear gap in the local repair market. While many shops in Kelowna focused primarily on cell phone and computer repairs, there were no businesses offering dedicated, high-quality game console repair services.

When Kelowna Cell Repair changed ownership and my employment there ended, I saw it as the perfect opportunity to take everything I’d learned and build something of my own. 

That’s when I founded "Spenny’s Customs" a locally owned repair business focused on bringing a fresh approach to console repairs in the Okanagan.

Spenny’s was created to meet a real need: fast, reliable, and affordable game console repairs, without the downsides of franchises or inflated pricing. 

No corporate scripts, no price gouging - just honest diagnostics, quality repairs, and straightforward service from someone who genuinely cares about the work.

My goal is simple: provide high-quality repairs at fair prices, keep turnaround times fast, and make sure every customer knows their device is in capable, experienced hands.
